Doglife Inspiration

My story

Who am i?

My name is Katja, and I live in Denmark with my husband, our dogs and a collection of other animals. I've always been curious about growth, learning and development, and I've spent most of my life working with animals.

I grew up in the equestrian world where training, competition and ambition shaped much of my life. Later, I discovered that same passion in the world of dogs, but what fascinated me the most was never just the results, but the learning process, the relationship with the animals and the opportunity to grow.

Later, I started asking different questions. Why do some people thrive under pressure, while others feel overwhelmed? Why are some able to unlock their full potential, while others are held back by self-doubt or fear? And how many of the challenges we face in training, are even about the dog?

Today, I primarily work with coaching, education and mental performance for dog handlers. I'm also the co-founder of Canine Beyond Limits - a collaborative learning platform where coaching, canine behaviour and dog training comes together to support the growth of both dog and handler.

mindset

I realized that the greatest changes often began with the person holding the leash.

It's not because dog training isn't important - it is! But our thoughts, beliefs, expectations and the way we respond to challenges have a profound impact on how we train, communicate and work together with our dogs.

My own journey turned into one of my greatest teachers. I've experienced what it's like to lose direction, to chase external validation and to let results define my self-worth. I know how easy it is to get caught up in expectations and forget what made us fall in love with the journey in the first place.

There wasn't one defining moment that changed the way I viewed growth and development. Instead, it was a collection of small experiences, reflections and realizations that gradually gave me a new perspective.

philosophy

That's why I do what I do. I'm passionate about coaching and mental performance, not just as a way to chase more success - but as a way to cultivate greater self-awareness, clarity and wellbeing. When we understand our own patterns, we make better decisions, respond more intentionally and stay true to the values that matter most to us - in training, competition and everyday life.

I don't believe great dog handling starts with learning more about dogs - I believe it starts with understanding ourselves.

That philosophy is at the heart of Doglife Inspiration, and it shapes the way I work with every client.

I don't believe in giving people all the answers. Instead, I help them ask better questions, see new perspectives and develop the mental tools to make intentional choices and grow in the direction that matters to them.
